Information on the processing of personal data

Sender and recipients of electronic correspondence

The controller of your personal data provided in relation to electronic correspondence with our firm is IPIDEA Patent Law Firm Michał Ziółkowski with its registered office in Warsaw at ul. Światowida 49 lok. 22, 03-144 Warsaw, NIP: 5242550830, REGON: 386289961, email: ipidea@ipidea.pl („IPIDEA”).

IPIDEA processes your personal data for purposes relating to the subject matter of the electronic correspondence, including those related to conducting business operations, on the basis of a legitimate interest of IPIDEA, which is ensuring continuity of communication and enabling contact with IPIDEA in business matters (Article 6.1 letter f of the GDPR).

In addition, IPIDEA is obliged to process your personal data in order to fulfil its legal obligations related to its business activities (Article 6.1 letter c of the GDPR), including to counteract money laundering and financing of terrorism.

Providing personal data is voluntary and is not a contractual, nor statutory requirement. In certain cases providing your personal data may be necessary to achieve the objectives arising from the legitimate interests of IPIDEA, mentioned above.

Your personal data may be shared with entities supporting IPIDEA in its business operations (so-called “processors”), such as companies providing data hosting services.

Your personal data will be stored for the period of conducting electronic correspondence or for the period of performing activities resulting from the subject of the correspondence (e.g. performing a

contract or organising an event). Otherwise, the data may be stored for periods resulting from applicable laws and/or for the period during which possible claims against IPIDEA may be asserted.

Your personal data will not be used for profiling or for automated decision making in relation to you.

You have the right to:
1) access to your personal data, including the right to obtain a copy of your data;
2) request rectification (correction) of your personal data;
3) request erasure of your personal data;
4) request to restrict processing of your personal data;
5) data portability (provided that processing is based on an agreement with you or on your consent);
6) object to processing of your personal data.

 

Notwithstanding the above, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, in particular – in Poland – the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw).
